PUBS AND BARS
I love pubs and bars! I know what you’re thinking, but I tend to prefer certain watering holes for more reasons than just having a pint or two. I either love the history, enjoy chatting to the interesting patrons or simply because it’s cheap, cheerful or quirky.
Here are some of my favourite places to go for a cold one.
DARLING BREW, WOODSTOCK
Darling Brew is now in Cape Town with a cool new spot in Woodstock. You now don’t have to drive all the way to Darling to enjoy beer-tastings, beer-on tap, beer desserts and more.
CAPE TOWN RESTAURANTS THAT DON’T CHARGE CORKAGE FEE
These restaurants in Cape Town allow you to bring along your own bottle with no corkage fee added to your bill.
GREAT GIN SPOTS IN CAPE TOWN
A selection of my favourite gin-tastic spots in Cape Town to enjoy a gin tasting or cocktail. One of them is even pet-friendly!
CHARLIE’S BREWHOUSE, PORT OWEN
At Charlie’s Brewhouse it’s not just about a pint and a plate of chips – they’ve taken pub grub to a whole new level!
