Let’s face it, we all love free stuff! And we all love to be spoilt on our birthday! So here’s six places that offer free entry or a free meal on your birthday.

What could be better than watching the sun rise or set from the top of one of the Seven Wonders of Nature, right here on our doorstep? The Table Mountain Aerial Cableway offers South Africans a free return trip on your birthday. Collect your ticket from the Visitor Information Centre, upon presenting your SA ID, before 16h30 on your birthday, or up to seven days thereafter. Note: If your birthday falls during the annual maintenance period, you need to get your ticket one week before or after that period.

As well as the six days after your birthday if you don’t have time to take it all in on your birthday day.  Simply take your South African ID along to the aquarium ticket office and enjoy a free day of underwater exploration, including a kelp forest, a predator tank,  jellyfish gallery (this is my personal favourite), touch pools, penguins and more.
