A full week of outstanding food paired with some of the country’s best Shiraz wines awaits in this year’s exciting Seven Days of Shiraz and Venison. The programme for this annual winter festival has been unveiled and reflects another top-class showcase for the quality of South African Shiraz and its versatility as a food wine.

Winter being not only big for red wine, but game-inspired dishes too, festival participants can expect everything from feasts of shiraz and game; winemaker-led tastings of rare vintages; quick and simple pairings for fast visits; culinary innovations in savoury and sweet; and, much more.

Picture fire-side lunches and thick-knitted jumpers or lingering dinners in the company of friends. Seven Days of Shiraz and Venison is the perfect occasion to get out and about in the magnificent Cape winelands.

A jamboree of foodie delight, Seven Days of Shiraz and Venison centres mostly around the week of 10 June to 16 June 2019, although several events will take place on one day only. Others have opted to extend the party for the entire month.
